DHF wants housing to be a free choice, independently of accessibility and need for compensation.

For people with disabilities, it is important that society supports housing renovations, and that the citizen's overall life and family situation is taken into account.

We believe that it is necessary that adequate disability-inclusive homes in the ordinary housing environments are established, and  that it is crucial to ensure that as many homes as possible are accessible to people with disabilities.

For people whose only option is to live in residential facilities, it is essential that they are built as a natural part of other offers of accommodation, for instance, housing associations.

It is also of the essence that people living in residential facilities have a real option of moving to other housing facilities, both in the immediate area and throughout the country.
