family life

The right to have a family life, or to live with someone, is fundamental for all people.

As an individual, it should be possible to plan your own family life, and we, as a society, have a responsibility to enable this – even when it requires compensation and support.

A disability should not be an obstacle for living together with a partner or spouse. We believe that those aspects of life that are often taken for granted - such as sharing domestic chores equally, as well as securing an equal income - should be attainable, regardless of ways of living together.

The compensation schemes thus have to support living a life on an equal footing as other families in a corresponding age- and life situation, as a spouse, boy/girlfriend, parent and so on.
