Terms and conditions for purchasing memberships and products at the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled

Thank you for supporting the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled’s work for a life with equal opportunities.

Whether you have chosen to support the association through membership or by purchasing a product in our webshop, you will receive a confirmation of your order.
The order confirmation states the following:
• The items and the quantity of items you purchased, and/or information about the type of membership, you selected.
• The total price, all inclusive.

Memberships and contributions to the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled
When purchasing a membership or giving a money donation, you have the right to cancel within 14 days.
At any time, you may contact us, and give us notice to terminate your membership. However, it is not possible to get a refund of the membership fee after the expiration of the 14-day cancellation right.

Processing of personal data
When you join the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled, we keep your personal data in our member system. In addition, your name, address, date of birth, phone number and email address are forwarded to the local branch, to which you geographically belong. We do this in order for you to receive relevant information from your local branch.

In connection with your membership, we will ask if you have a disability or not. This information is solely for internal use, as having a disability is a requirement when voting at local general assemblies or at the association’s congress.

When you join a special interest group at the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled, you will automatically subscribe to the group’s newsletter, if they publish one.
If you do not wish to subscribe to the newsletter, you may unsubscribe, the first time you receive it.

When supporting the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled through endowment, amounts up to DKK 14,500 are fully tax deductible, as the association, with reference to the Danish Tax Assessment Act § 8A, is licensed by the tax authorities to accept donations.
In order for us to report the donated amount to the tax authorities, the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled will need your Civil Registration Number.

All personal data processed by the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled is in agreement with good data processing practice and existing legislation.
With reference to the Danish Data Protection Act, we provide to you on request your registered information, and in case of objection, we delete information to the extent wanted.

Terms of payment
You can pay with Dankort or MobilePay in our webshop, and VAT is included in all prices on products and freight. If you wish to pay with a giro transfer form, this is also an option. 

Please contact us at +45 39 29 35 55, Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and we will send you the information required. Prices are subject to change, as the prices quoted apply as long as stocks last.

Not until your purchased goods are shipped from the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled, will the amount be deducted from your payment card.

This site uses QuickPay and Epay for the webshop. Card payment is thus completely safe, and approved by Nets.

We use GLS and PostNord for all shipments. The goods will be shipped within 3-4 business days after we have received your order. You will typically have your item delivered 6-8 days after placing the order, unless otherwise stated.

The stated time of dispatch is indicative, and products are subject to availability. Shipment to the Faroe Islands, Greenland and abroad is not possible.

The Danish Association of the Physically Disabled send all letters and packages with GLS or PostNord. The freight price will be evident from your shopping basket and on your order confirmation, and the prices are based on GLS and PostNord’s tariffs, respectively.

Please notice that leaflets and booklets are sent as ordinary letters, which are sent at your own risk. These letters are not insured and are thus not traceable. Shipments sent as ordinary letters may be in transit up to five days.

If you choose delivery at a GLS Parcel Shop, you will automatically be notified, when the parcel has arrived. The notification will be sent by GLS to your email or phone.

You also have the option of purchasing our products by visiting our headquarters at Blekinge Boulevard 2, DK-2630 Taastrup, Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cancellation right
You have 14 days cancellation right on *all goods purchased at the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled.

If you wish to make use of this right, you need to notify us unequivocally at dhf@danskhandicapforbund.dk, within 14 days from reception.

*special rules apply for sealed products.

Please notice that the products you wish to return have to be shipped within 14 days from the day you received them, and you are obligated to return the goods in substantially the same condition and quantity as it was originally received, preferably in the original packaging.

Sealed products
Please notice that if you wish to return products containing sound or video recordings (such as cd’s, movies, DVD’s etc.), the seal must not be broken.

If you break the seal, you cannot regret your purchase.

The same rule applies to products for intimate use, as these are unfit for returning, due to health protection and hygienic causes.

All products must remain unused, if it is clear that use will reduce the value of the product.

The cost of the return shipment is paid by you.
The products must be returned to: Dansk Handicap Forbund Blekinge Boulevard 2 DK-2630 Taastrup.

If you want a refund, it will ease the time of transfer, if you send us the following bank information, along with your name and address:
Name of your bank
Account No.

Refund claim
As a consumer you are covered by the protection rules of the Danish Sale of Goods Act, which means, among other things, that you have 2 years right of complaint concerning defects and deficiencies on the product you purchased.

If the product is defective, meaning that if the complaint is justified and the deficiency is not caused by misuse, you can have the product replaced, or get a money refund.

It is a prerequisite for product replacement that the item is in stock.

The refund claim must be submitted within reasonable time after the defect has been detected.

Other avenues of complaint 

If you wish to complain about a product purchased from us, you may apply for dispute resolution with: Center for Klageløsning (Centre for Complaint Resolution) under the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark.
You can file a complaint via www.forbrug.dk.

You can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform to file a complaint.
This is especially relevant if you are a consumer residing outside of Denmark, in another EU member state. File your complaint via the platform. When filing a complaint, you must state our email address dhf@danskhandicapforbund.dk.

Product liability
The mandatory rules on product liability for manufacturers is correspondingly applicable to the Danish Association of the Physically Disabled.
